Drone, LiDAR & Aerial Surveying for Renewable Energy

Evoegy offers LiDAR surveying, photogrammetry, terrain modelling, inspection and project imagery for renewable energy projects. Since 2018, we have flown hundreds of hours of missions across wind and renewable energy developments in Australia and New Zealand, using drones as a practical engineering tool rather than just a way to take pictures.

Harnessing Innovation

The practical impact of drones in renewable energy
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Lower site disturbance and reduced reliance on traditional access methods.
REAL-TIME MONITORING
Rapid visual feedback when project teams need answers quickly.
COST SAVINGS
Reduce reliance on specialist access equipment and manual inspection effort.
HIGH QUALITY DATA
Detailed imagery, thermal data and inspection records for engineering review.
REPEAT INSPECTIONS
Consistent data capture for tracking defects, progress and condition over time.
IMPROVED ACCESS
Reach difficult, remote and constrained areas without unnecessary physical access.
DOCUMENTATION
Clear visual records to support reporting, defect tracking and close-out.
TIME EFFICIENCY
Faster inspection and data capture with less disruption to site activities.
ENHANCED SAFETY
Reduce exposure to work at height and hazardous inspection environments.
SCALABILITY
Deploy efficiently across multiple turbines, assets and large project areas.
LiDAR
Surveying, mapping and terrain data for engineering and project applications.

LiDAR and Photogrammetry

For wind farm development and engineering, LiDAR and photogrammetry provide complementary ways to capture accurate site and terrain data. Evoegy uses both technologies to support surveying, terrain modelling, access and layout assessment, construction planning, visualisation and technical review. LiDAR is particularly useful where detailed three-dimensional terrain data and accurate elevation information are required, while photogrammetry provides efficient visual and spatial capture across large project areas. Used together, they provide a practical and flexible dataset for engineering and project decision-making.
