Evoegy was engaged by Iberdrola Australia in February 2024 to undertake a targeted independent engineering and QA/QC review during the late construction and commissioning phase of the 145 MW Flyers Creek Wind Farm in New South Wales. The engagement focused on identifying issues potentially missed during previous reviews, challenging the quality and completeness of work undertaken to date, reviewing Owner’s Engineer coverage, investigating a turbine incident, and identifying outstanding technical matters requiring resolution ahead of key project milestones.

Evoegy personnel provided owner-side wind turbine engineering across multiple phases of the approximately 114 MW Boco Rock Wind Farm in New South Wales, comprising 67 GE 1.7 MW turbines. The work included technical due diligence, construction Owner’s Engineering and site representation, installation quality assurance, engineering and design review, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) review, delivery and storage surveillance, construction and milestone assessment, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) witnessing and turbine acceptance, followed by continued Owner’s Engineer support during operations. End-of-warranty work included detailed turbine inspections, gearbox inspections across 65 turbines and scope-based blade inspections to identify defects, condition issues and matters requiring resolution before warranty expiry.

Macarthur Wind Farm

Evoegy personnel provided owner-side wind turbine engineering and site representation during construction and acceptance of the 420 MW Macarthur Wind Farm in Victoria, comprising 140 Vestas V112 3 MW turbines. The assignment also included technical oversight of third-party turbine walkdowns undertaken by GL Garrad Hassan and review of the scope, coverage and effectiveness of the Owner’s Engineer services delivered by SKM/Jacobs during construction.

Evoegy personnel led owner-side wind turbine engineering within the Owner’s Engineer team during construction of the 55 MW Mumbida Wind Farm in Western Australia, comprising 22 GE 2.5 MW turbines. The role included engineering and design review, technical-documentation assessment, milestone assessment and owner-side technical representation during project delivery. Evoegy personnel also provided specialist blade and bearing engineering support during the operating life of the asset, including oversight of blade defects and upgrade campaigns, technical input to repowering activities, targeted inspections and ongoing engineering support for turbine and blade condition issues.

Boulder Creek Wind Farm

Project Director — Requirements and Construction Readiness
Evoegy led project definition and construction-readiness activities for Boulder Creek Wind Farm, coordinating technical specifications, Employer’s Requirements, compliance schedules and package interfaces across WTG, SCADA, meteorological mast, CBoP and EBoP. The Project Director role extended beyond technical documentation to project establishment, governance, stakeholder and contractor coordination, delivery planning and progression of principal construction contracts toward investment decision and execution readiness.

Lincoln Gap Stage III

Turbine Procurement, Development Engineering & UAV LiDAR Survey
Evoegy provided owner-side development engineering for Lincoln Gap Stage III in South Australia, supporting technical and commercial negotiations with Siemens for the proposed wind turbine agreements and associated project requirements. The work also included a large-scale UAV LiDAR survey across approximately 52 km² of proposed Stage III land to support site development, constructability assessment, access and infrastructure planning, together with broader technical input into project definition and future asset-management requirements.

Uungula Wind Farm, NSW

Technical advisory, project definition and owner-side decision support
Evoegy led owner-side technical requirements development for Uungula Wind Farm in New South Wales, developing the complete suite of project specifications, Employer’s Requirements, compliance schedules and technical requirements across the wind turbine, SCADA, meteorological mast, civil balance of plant and electrical balance of plant packages. The role included coordination of multidisciplinary interfaces through to the 33 kV side of the project substation, requirements definition, tender evaluation and technical and commercial support to owner decision-making. The work established a coordinated technical basis for procurement, construction, commissioning, acceptance and long-term operation of the project, embedding maintainability, lifecycle performance, compliance and asset-management requirements from the development stage. The quality and breadth of the work received direct commendation from senior client leadership.
